Fund raising:
Concensus was to offer chances of opportunity for an electronic device with the drawing to be at the Christmas concert performed for the High School. Mr. Crowley will survey the students for suggestions on the type of device to be offered. Sue Esquivel moved to allow Mr. Crowley to survey the students, purchase an electronic device under $400 to be donated by the Band Boosters, and to have the students begin offering the opportunity chances. Becky Totten seconded. Motion approved. Discussion centered on offering the top sellers a percentage of their sales
.
Patrons—Mr. Crowley asked for approval to begin Patron sales. $500-Director level-the individual would be allowed to direct the band at a concert and have 4 reserved seats at each concert, $250-Performer level-the individual would be allowed to perform with the band and have 4 reserved seats at each concert, $100 level-4 reserved seats at each concert, and $50 level-2 reserved seats at each concert. One hundred percent of student sales will go to their trip account. Consensus was to give Mr. Crowley permission to begin Patron sales.
DVD sales—Discussion about offering a DVD of compiled Marching band performances dealt with cost, quality of video, time involved in making the DVD and the need for a multi-media release for each student. No decision was made.
Vehicle decals—Sue Esquivel displayed vehicle decals Toni Lorenz had purchased for the swim team. Purchase cost was $2 for a two color decal and $1 for a single color decal. Decals could be sold for $5. Sue will ask Toni to inquire about the purchasing cost of large quantities of decals.
