Kevin Crowley
Mr. Crowley graduated from High School at Houston, MO in 1981.
He went on to Southwest Missouri State University (SMSU) in Springfield, MO,
where he received a BS in Ed with an emphasis in Instrumental Music. While at
SMSU, Mr. Crowley performed in the Bruin Pride Marching Band, Symphonic Band,
University Orchestra, and the Brass Choir. Mr. Crowley also played in the pit
orchestra for the world premier of the opera "Dorian Gray", written by SMS's Dr.
Eldon Burghstahler.
Mr. Crowley studied Tuba under Bill Hartman and has performed
under the direction of Mr. Robert Scott, Dr. Jordan Tang, Dr. Belva Prather, Mr.
Tony DiBartelomeo, and Mr. Mike Casey.
Schools that he has taught at include Alton, Cabool, and he is
currently in his 15th year at Marshfield. He has also taught Music Appreciation
for Drury College at its Cabool branch. At
Marshfield, he teaches Marching Band, High School Symphonic Band, Jammin' Jays Pep
Band, Pit Orchestra, and Music Appreciation. He also
teaches eighth grade band and sixth grade brass, and serves as the Head of the
music program at MHS.
Mr. Crowley is a member of MNEA, MMEA, SCMMEA, MBA & Phi Beta Mu.
He has served as Jr. High Band Vice President and also President of SCMMEA. He
has also served as a Board member of Missouri Music Educators Association. He
is currently the webmaster for the SCMMEA and Marshfield Band websites.
Mr. Crowley received the John East "Spirit of Orpheus" award in
2003. He also is a frequent adjudicator and clinician at various
marching and concert festivals throughout southern Missouri.
Mr. Crowley and his wife Christi have 3 children: Jordan (17),
Emily (15), and Jacob (12).
Lori Hutton
Ms. Hutton is in her 11th year at Marshfield
High School. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1983 and earned her
Bachelor's Degree in Music with a specialized degree program in Arts Management
from Drury University. She also earned her Master's Degree in Secondary
Education from Drury. Ms. Hutton has performed in the Springfield Symphony,
Springfield Regional Opera Orchestra, Little Theater Pit Orchestra and plays for
several churches in the Marshfield and Springfield area.
Ms. Hutton taught one year in the Seymour
school district and four years in the Lebanon school district.
At Marshfield, she
teaches Jazz Band, Jazz Theory Lab, Colorguard, Seventh grade band and Sixth
grade woodwinds. She assists with the Marching band, High School Concert Band,
Pit orchestra and Eighth grade band.
She has just been elected to serve as Secretary of the Missouri Unit of the
International Jazz Educators Association. change to: She is the current
Secretary of the Missouri Jazz Educators Association.
She is also on the staff of the Missouri Ambassadors of Music and has taken
groups of students and adults to Europe in 1990, 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006,
and will be taking another group in the summer of 2008. Ms. Hutton was the
2006 Missouri Ambassador of Music Jazz Band Director and will serve as the
2008 Jazz Director for the MAM Jazz Band. change to: She is also on the

Ms. Hutton is the 2003-2004 recipient of the Wal-Mart
Teacher of the Year and has received Who's Who Among America's Teachers every
year since 2003.
